We arrived bright and early at the surgical center on Tuesday in preparation for Lauren's ear tube surgery. Preparation meant Lauren couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight including her normal morning milk. She asked for milk about 50 times at home and on the way to the center. In the waiting room she tried to convince us to give her some water out of the fountain then led us to the sink and kept pointing at the faucet. It got to the point where Mike couldn't even drink his coffee in the waiting room because she would just point at it and fuss.
Lauren made it through and got into the Tigger gown again (same one as the ER on Sunday). All the new toys in the pre-op room distracted her enough that she forgot about the milk issue.

The whole procedure took less than five minutes and other than being a bit wobbly the rest of the day she seemed to be great.
The unblocked ears seemed to be helping the speech right away as that afternoon, I asked if she wanted a banana not really expecting a response and she copied me with something that sounded more like anana. She has been repeating it ever since.
