Winding Down

Funny how fast a week goes when you are on vacation.  As we prepare to pack up and ship out tomorrow morning, we enjoyed one last dinner out with everyone.  

If you look closely, you can see Lauren and Sydney are wearing their matching St. John t-shirts they received for Valentine's Day.      

Happy Valentine's Day

Lauren woke up this morning to a special Valentine's Day surprise from JoJo and Poohbah. She got her very first St. John t-shirt.  

This week has been such a treat. It is nice to spend the days together as a family instead of everyone heading out for work each morning.  At this age, Lauren is so portable and such a delight we've really enjoyed taking her around with us.    

Lauren enjoys the beach.  She was able to lay back in the life-vest and relax in the water.  Once on land, she was sound asleep as you can see her napping pictures.

Lauren woke up refreshed and ready to play.  I guess the sunshine, fresh warm air, cool breeze, and sound of water made for a great rest.   

Colorful Morning

I didn't think the view could get any better but this morning we enjoyed breakfast outside and noticed this beautiful rainbow.  

Bonding

What better place to bond with your cousin than on a family vacation.  Lauren just loves her cousin and I think Sydney likes to make Lauren smile.  Syd gives quality hugs and high fives which are sure to bring a smile to Lauren's face.

  

St. John Arrival

Lauren enjoyed her first flight as we headed to St. Thomas on Monday.  I think she knew we were on vacation as she looked up at us with the biggest smile walking off the airplane and into the beautiful tropical weather.  

Tuesday we did some shopping before loading onto the ferry bound for St. John. 

After a little 4-wheeling, we arrived at our villa which has the most amazing views.  This morning we enjoyed a quick swim before heading out for a hike with JoJo.

Of course we had to hit the beach 

for a refreshing swim before grabbing lunch and heading back to the house.  

There are some great views from some of the restaurants but it is hard to beat the view from where we are staying.

  

I'm sure tomorrow we'll get in another hike and who knows what else.  

Vacation Prep

We've never been the planners...in fact for our trip to Europe two years ago we had a map, a week long car rental, and a hotel reservation for the first and last night... but having a baby and considering all the stuff we lug around for her, we thought we should start early.  As we prepare for vacation, we've been trying on all the summer clothes to see what fits and what doesn't.  To our surprise, Lauren fits perfectly into Saylor's life-vest and several of her cousins' adorable hats.  It is hard work trying everything on,  so no wonder she seemed to enjoy herself when she got to take a break from the wardrobe changes and just put her feet up with Daddy.
