Happy Easter!

What a nice relaxing day before we welcome the newest Ivey to the family bright and early tomorrow. Lauren reluctantly wore her nice Easter dress to Mass this morning but refused to wear the new sandals we bought her. She was game to try them out but after walking about twenty steps, looking like she was walking on ice, she decided to sit down and melt down until we took the sandals off. So she was uniquely dressed in a cute dress and pink sneakers all day!
We had a nice dinner sitting outside at the Town Center where the highlight had to be the full sized Easter Bunny costume which TERRIFIED Lauren. She was ok with the bunny at a distance but when he started to come close it was pure fear in her eyes. We felt a little bad at how hard we laughed at her reaction!
She has no fears at all from what we can tell and takes a fall better than any two year old I've seen, but when it comes to life size animal costumes, she draws the line. We had a very similar encounter at a friend's one year old birthday party last week where the grandfather had a full chicken costume on!
